A Little Background

I am so excited to delve into this class--especially Rosenblatt because I've read only a bit of her work directly. I have never taught middle or high school, but my bachelor's is in English and my initial teaching certification was secondary English (6-12), so I have a little bit of experience with it. (I student-taught eighth graders.) When it was time to get a job, I felt totally unprepared, and I ended up teaching elementary school for seven years. I still have a strong interest in middle and high school English.
